Hello, my name is Cassandra. I am a mother of three and have been with my husband for 13 years. I am a Fresno native and love having so much nature to explore within a couple of hours’ drive! I consider myself very blessed to work with families while they are in such a transformative part of their lives.

Birth work first called to me after the birth of my twin daughters. I was a young mother and knew I wanted to plan for a home birth with a local midwife. We found out it was twins a little over halfway through the pregnancy; when unfavorable circumstances arose, we chose from our very limited options, and our twin daughters entered the world via cesarean section.

Prior to becoming a certified doula, I studied to become a
dietician, I studied herbalism, and I participated in a surrogate pregnancy. I experienced a miscarriage before the successful surrogate birth, as well as a loss of my own. Eight years after my twins were born, we welcomed our son. I successfully achieved a home birth after two cesareans and felt a deep sense of empowerment from this collection of experiences in birth and motherhood. That feeling of empowerment is one I hope all mothers get to experience as I support them along their birth journeys. I support families by providing educational resources, nutritional suggestions, safe herbal supplementation, and offering insight into their patient rights, in hopes they may feel autonomous in their choices.
