Hi, I’m Julia, full spectrum doula, lactation educator, daughter, sister, auntie, partner, Cancer sun, Aquarius moon, Scorpio rising. As a doula I meet people where they are on their pregnancy journey to provide holistic preparation, planning, and support. I work with people through all pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriage, abortion, birth, loss, and adoption.

I started supporting pregnant and parenting individuals as a mentor for high school students, and felt deeply connected and drawn to providing support during this transformative life experience. I sought out opportunities to explore the connection percolating at the threshold of birth, and earned an internship with a freestanding birth center where I witnessed childbirth for the first time. As a second assistant to the midwife I helped with documenting, preparing warm washcloths, and holding a flashlight during laceration repairs. In these community births I also observed doulas in action, and was intrigued by their continuous unwavering support to families through labor and birth.

At this time I had recently completed pre-med coursework while gaining a B.S. in Global Disease Biology, but I was at a crossroads for what to do next. The more I witnessed injustice within our sexual and reproductive health system, the clearer the path became towards community-based birthwork. I completed my birth doula training in 2021 and shortly after began my first job as a doula working with a nonprofit in Eugene, Oregon. After my first couple years of being a doula, I began to appreciate the full spectrum of perinatal experiences which led me to expand beyond birth support. I completed my full spectrum doula training in 2024, and shortly after migrated back to my natural environment, the rural Sierra Foothills of California, where I began offering full spectrum perinatal support services.

I live in Mariposa with my partner and our two dogs, two cats, and three chickens. When I’m not working you may find me reading, baking, working on outdoor projects, running, or at the river with my dog. I look forward to working with you!
