I am a wife, a mama to three beautiful girls, and a birth and postpartum doula located in Clovis.

My passion for birth work began as I completed my education to become a nurse, and as I worked as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) at a local hospital. I worked in the hospital setting for over 7 years in the postpartum unit. I loved the interaction I had with the patients, their brand new babies, and their families. My desire to serve expecting families was missing something. Not until I became pregnant with my first child did that something become apparent. I knew I was meant to be a doula. 

All of my birth experiences have shaped me into who I am today. I know that all three experiences contributed to my ability to help and serve expecting families. My first daughter, Willow, was born via cesarean, after planning a home birth which turned into a hospital transfer. I knew with my second birth I would educate myself on VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). That’s how I became a VBAC-friendly doula. With my second and third pregnancies, I was able to achieve a HBAC (home birth after cesarean). Instead of looking at my first experience as a negative one, I have used it to help me relate to and serve families who experienced the same situation. All of my birth experiences have shaped the model of care I provide to my clients and that is compassion, understanding, and sympathy.
